Or, how about writing for The Northern Line…
If you think you have what it takes to be the voice of your city, you’re at the right place.
We’re looking for contributors from the North’s biggest cities (and tiniest towns) to help us encourage, celebrate and engage with the very best the top half of the country can offer – the cracking cities, beaches, exhibitions, music, and more. Like we said, it’s not a serious critique on life in the North, and you don’t need to be a professional riter writer or spelar speller.
All you really need is just half an hour or so whenever you can to document anything you find interesting, funny, poignant (or whatever) about your city.
The next steps
Getting started as a contributor is easy. Honest. Drop us a line to mail@thenorthernline.com and tell us which city you’d like to cover and why you think you’d make a great contributor – and we’ll set you up with logins, instructions, and all that stuff.
Remember, once you’re on the team your posts won’t go live straightaway (we’ll need to check them for quality, count how many times you mention viagara, and make sure you’re not from the Nigerian Lottery Commission) but you’ll generally see them go live within a few hours.
And here comes the big question: what’s in it for you? Well, apart from getting the chance to contribute to the growth of one of the North’s most exciting new brands, we’ll most likely end up with a ton of gig tickets, press passes, review material, and all kinds of other stuff which we’ll pass them your way, together with the odd Northern Line t-shirt or two.
Not bad for doing something you really enjoy, eh?
What’s it all about?
