Saint Davids Day: Monday the 1st of March sees the release of the new single by Mumford & Sons. The Cave is a beautiful track taken from their superb album Sigh No More. But why you scream are we telling you this? Surely they are from London? That place of evil down South!!! Well yes they are, but 2 reasons.

Firstly they are superb, so they deserve to be mentioned simply for that.

Secondly they are playing a major tour this month which includes many dates in the NORTH. A full list of dates are included below;

As you may notice all the shows are sold out. Tickets have been going for a small fortune on ebay. Here at thenorthernline we have been lucky enough to secure some passes to review a show. So next Sunday the 7th of March we will be at Newcastle University watching what could be the gig of the year. Because as well as Mumfords there is also Fanfarlo!!! Surely a match made in heaven. Anyway go buy the single. Or better still go buy the album Sigh No More which is truly excellent. Look out for the review of the gig next week.
