An early reminder that we have American diva Lauren Pritchard arriving in town next Tuesday 17th August.
…
We are confident that Lauren will be moving on to big, big things and this show will be the only realistic opportunity to see her in such an intimate setting. In 2008 we brought Glasvegas to town. In 2009 it was Mumford & Sons. This year it’s Lauren’s turn – and she’s the real deal alright. Our show at the Westgarth SC is an exclusive warm up date ahead of her Edinburgh Festival appearance the next day and she will be playing with her full band.

Some interesting Lauren facts…

· She’s just duetted with Paul Weller (b-side of his new single)
· Also previously collaborated with Marcus Mumford and Ed Harcourt
· Eg White produced ‘Painkillers’ which came out today. He’s the guy who wrote Warwick Avenue for Duffy and Chasing Pavements for Adele along with a host of other well know tracks
· Lauren’s debut album in the can, ready for release next month on the legendary label, Island Records
· Lauren has just finished 2 tours as support to James Morrison and Jamie Cullum
· She even had a 2 year stint as a teenager starring on Broadway

We’ve also secured a wonderful supporting bill showcasing some of the brightest talent in the region.
