Blink and you missed it. Saturday gone (21^st) saw a one off chance to see a truly incredible, exhibition of film props, replicas and memorabilia, at the newly opened, Links Art Gallery, on the sea front at Whitley Bay.

First time in this gallery-slash-coffee shop and very impressed. Half of the gallery had been packed with busts and weapons and posters and models of classic films… with a special emphasis on JAWS, in support of the showing later that evening, of JAWS on the beach, by the Whitley Bay Film Festival.

Al Elliott has curated this exhibition of cherished artefacts by private collectors around the country. We were especially impressed with Han Solo in Carbonite, Boris Karloff’s Frankenstein’s monster and the Gremlin. Real pity it was only available for a day.
