3 Is The Magic Number. (mth Press Release)
Middlesbrough Town Hall is undoubtedly the place to go to for the best comedy in Teesside and with THREE of Britain’s top comics heading to the venue in October, it’s clear to see why.
First up is Geordie nonsense monger Ross Noble (Wed 6 Oct), who broke records last year with our cousins Down Under when his show became the biggest live stand-up comedy gig in Australian history – blimey!
Noble is best known for his mass of hair and his largely improvised and surreal performance and his new show displays this to fine affect. Nonsensory Overload is Noble back fresh from his travels, not to mention his own TV show, doing what he does best; spinning forth hilarious nonsense for your amusement. Now is your chance to see one of the best live comics working internationally today.
“Noble turns over as many good ideas in one night as most comics do in a year gleeful, free-wheeling silliness” Chortle
TV and Film star Chris Addison (Fri 8 Oct) is back out on tour, and has even had to extend his run due to popular demand – and who can blame the public for loving this hilarious fella so much?
You’ll probably recognise Mr. Addison from TV shows such as Skins, In The Thick Of It, Lab Rats, Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You to name a few, not to mention his big screen debut In The Loop. Expect the usual daftness, whimsy, jokes, lies, smartarsery and a bit of flapping about!
“One of the most accomplished live acts you are likely to see this year.” The Observer
Last, but by no means least, Irish gem Dara O’Briain (Wed 20 Oct) returns to Middlesbrough Town Hall for which will no doubt be another sell out show.
O’Briain is the go to man if you need an intelligent and fast witted comedy show presented these days, heading up the excellent Mock the Week, The Panel and Have I Got News For You.
“If you don’t laugh at Ó Briain, check your pulse, you must be dead.” The Evening Standard
All three comedians recently featured in Channel 4’s Top 100 Greatest Stand-Ups – with Ross Noble coming a very impressive 10th – and now’s the perfect opportunity to see why.
