Bandstand: A New Night In Boro.

Middlesborough music scene is about to experience a fresh injection of energy and spirit.

Corporate ”MacMusic” from the South and low value club nights have had a stranglehold on the scene for far too long. The response, according to new local maverick music promoter Rikki Doolan is, Bandstand.

Doolan says, “Bandstand is placing variety front and centre to create a fresh vision for town centre live entertainment with a line-up of not only Boro’s hottest bands but the hottest comedy artists, poets and DJ’s.”

Bandstand cultural home is former cinema and bingo hall, The Crown.  Over the past decade this unique venue has experienced a steady transformation into one of the town’s finest live entertainment venues. Whilst others have focused on low cost/high revenue club nights, Bandstand, at The Crown, will focus on facilities, atmosphere and variety to stage a radical makeover for local live entertainment.
