Village Green New Tracks: Sunshine & Carnaby Street!!!

http://soundcloud.com/villagegreen

Village Green are a band from The North. If you’ve been keeping up with The Northern Line you should have heard their name. If you haven’t, where have you been? They have not got one new track out but two. “Sunshine” and “Carnaby Street” are both prime slices of Indie Pop like Death Cab for Cutie and The Delgados mixed with Mod leanings towards The Kinks, The Who and The Jam. My favourite of the two is “Carnaby Street” which has obvious links to the whole Mod movement and the street associate with it. They obviously have one eye on the 60s and the late 70s early 80s mod revival but they are also looking to the future. Bright and breezy, chiming guitars and straight forward vocals. They are a young band learning their craft but we expect great things from them. Give them a listen. Go catch them live in the new year when they start playing again.
