Tom Sheehan: The Smiths And More…..

“I dreamt about you last night, and I fell out of bed twice. You can pin and mount me like a butterfly.” (Reel around the Fountain. THe Smiths 1984)

Tom Sheehan has taken some great pics of Morrissey and the boys and they are now available for you to mount (I doubt you’d stick pins in them) and put up on your wall. Below is a little potted history of his working life and a couple of examples of what you can buy…..
After three years as CBS Records first in house photographer, Tom’s love for the music press got the better of him and he left the comforts of a steady job to go on and spend many years as a successful and respected freelance photographer. He started his freelance life working for NME, Sounds and Record Mirror until nailing his colours to the mast of Melody Makers mast till it sank two decades later.

Over the years Tom has built up a strong working friendship with many artists including Radiohead, Coldplay, The Cure, The Charlatans, Oasis, etc.

As well as record company commissions and working with various artists, Tom’s work is featured in Mojo, Q, The Times, The Guardian, Rolling Stone and countless other international titles.

He has recently made available a set of his “THE SMITHS” photos and they are amazing. Expensive, yes. But amazing nonetheless. Take a look at his link below to see some more examples of his work and how to order a set. If only I had the money but I think Mrs Martin would be none too pleased!!!
