East Kilbride Arts centre opens its doors to a new exhibition of photography later this month that attempts to capture the energy and excitement of the Scottish music scene.

This exhibition is likely to be quite an eye-catcher not least for the fact that it has been organised with the intention of displaying band and gig photographs in their own right, rather than the usual music blogs, magazines, or cd sleeves where these images are more likely to be seen…

Featuring home grown local talent and international acts – many bands of which have already been splashed across The Northernline, will grace its walls… with images featuring Frightened Rabbit, United Fruit, and For Abel sitting alongside artists ranging from Lady Gaga to Metallica!

A collective display of work by emerging and established music photographers, the show promises to capture the diversity and energy of performances, as well as some location and promotional photography from across Scotland and its array of fine musical establishments…

East Kilbride Arts Centre is  a multi -function arts centre with dedicated exhibition space, cafe, recording studio, darkroom and music/theatre space.

Ok… So now’s your chance to visit East Kilbride! Maybe a little off the beaten track but it is the very town from where The Jesus & Mary Chain were formed no less.
