The Imagineers: “fame, Fame, Fatal Fame. It Can Play Hideous Tricks On The Brain”.
The Sound of Young Scotland is soon to be making big waves across the pond and become the Sound of the USA. One of our favourite new bands, The Imagineers, have been chose to appear on “The Late Late Show” for 5 nights running. This is an amazing opportunity for an unsigned band. But, no less than they deserve. See below for the full story and video………
Unsigned Scottish band The Imagineers will perform on CBS television for five consecutive nights, from the 14th to the 18th of May, with each show averaging 2 million viewers.
Craig Ferguson and his team recorded a homecoming week long Scottish special exploring the hosts native land in March, filming a concert series in the Tron Theatre (Glasgow) with The Imagineers performing a selection of their songs. The band also recorded their own version of the Show’s theme tune, which will be used as the opening credits each night of the series.
The bands song ‘Imagineer’ was chosen by CBS for their promo video featuring stars; Craig Ferguson, Michael Clark Duncan (The Green Mile), Mila Kunis (that 70s Show, Forgetting Sarah Marshall), and Alex Salmond (Scottish First Minister). The Video will be aired on the show the 26th and the 27th of April.
Craig Ferguson sent his CBS team over to Scotland with the mission “Find me a band I would have wanted to be in 30 years ago.” Ferguson, former drummer with Glasgow band The Dreamboys, chose The Imagineers.

Also read a bit more about this outstanding achievement at The Scotsman newspaper:
So it is a big “well done” to our favourite cousins from up north. Hopefully they will remain the lovely lads they are and not become some bloated rock stars filling arenas in the USA although we would probably still love them if they did. We look forward to seeing our Northern Line t-shirts live on US tv!!! (just a hint lads!!!!)
