Well you learn something new everyday and upon doing a little bit of research into Lloyd Cole I discovered that both his parents were golf stewards and that he too is a keen golfer. When he plays live he quite often plays in towns close to famous golf courses. So might we see Mr Cole having a quick few holes round the world famous CRIMPLE VALLEY GOLF COURSE before his show? Who knows but anybody playing golf in Harrogate on the 10th July just might bump into him!!!!

Lloyd is best known for his role as lead singer from Lloyd Cole and The Commotions from 1984 to 1989 and since then as a solo artist.

This appearance in Harrogate is another exclusive for the Theatre and promises to be an excellent night. Lloyd will be playing songs from his Commotions days as well as his later solo stuff.

Cole is on tour frequently, playing small club venues in a one-man acoustic setting and presenting rock songs from his past career remodelled to simple folk songs. He interacts extensively with the audience and some songs are told rather than played as spoken word or stand up comedy.

A show like this at Harrogate Theatre is trully an experience not to be missed as catching a man like Lloyd Cole in a place like Harrogate may never happen again.
