Danny Mahon- The best thing to come out of Manchester since…..? Thats up to you to decide after you have seen or heard him live.

I first came across Danny Mahon at last years Ramsbottom Festival and have followed his every move since that day (via Twitter and Facebook) I was desperate to go and see him at his Christmas Ruby Lounge gig in December but family comes first and as it was right on Christmas I was unable to make the journey to Manchester.
The gig sold out and over the last couple of years Mr Mahon has built up a steady and loyal following. When I saw him last year at Ramsbottom he grabbed your attention from the off and everyone there was captivated from start to finish.

The back end of last year he was invited on the Reverend and The Makers tour initially for a few dates but as the tour progressed he was asked to play more and more as he proved such a hit with the crowd.

Danny sings songs about everyday life and what it throws at us, with his acoustic guitar and quick witted observations he trully is a  star in the making.

Go look him up ASAP  on youtube and soundcloud, until you do you don’t know what your missing. And after you’ve done that go and buy a ticket to see him live.

He has supported many great artists in his time (Beady Eye, Echo and The Bunnymen, The Charlatans etc.) and now he is out to make a name for himself and has just added a few more dates to his schedule.

The Northernline is venturing out to see him in Doncaster at The Leopard (A great venue by all accounts) And if you fancy making a weekend of it like we do get booked up now. Travelodge rooms are currently on offer at a bargain rate and its a Saturday night!!
