Pigeon Detectives And Miles Kane Set To Play The Magical Middlesbrough Empire!

Location

The Leeds-based Pigeon Detectives play an exciting blend of rock’n’roll born out of a love for classic rock music and the indie rock of the 1990s. ‘Perfect fodder for indie fans who like to jump up and down as if it’s 1995, this band’s crunching guitar is simple but effective’ says Camden Evening News, reflecting quite accurately the Pigeon Detectives’ ethos- to play exciting music to packed out venues.

The Pigeon Detectives play the Empire on Thursday 2nd May. Tickets are on sale now from www.ticketweb.co.uk and www.themiddlesbroughempire.co.uk

Next up on the 6th May Bank Holiday Monday we have one of the best male solo artists around, the trully wonderful Mr Miles Kane

Already a veteran of three groups, Miles Kane has some friends in high places. Collaborating with Alex Turner on Last Shadow Puppets, the Liverpool singer was personally invited to support Beady Eye. Turning solo last year, Miles Kane began working on new material. Lead single ‘Inhaler’ was a great introduction, with its spiky guitars and energetic songwriting pulling British indie out of a malaise.

Since then, Miles Kane has played a series of memorable tour dates. Gathering some close friends as a backing group, the band features some well known faces including Eugene McGuinness. Debut album‘Colour Of The Trap’ is set to be released on May 9th, a mixture of classic indie, blue eyed soul, psych-pop and more. Perhaps Miles Kane‘ most instant, and fully realised collection yet the album has been previewed in full at recent shows.

Acting as support on Beady Eye’s first ever tour, Miles Kane has been on jovial form. Dropping in a few lesser known tracks and old classics, the singer is set to enjoy a busy summer
