As it’s the summer holidays and I have more time on my hands than I know what to do with. I thought I would catch up on bits ‘n’ bobs that we’ve missed in the past. Todays theme is Art. What is or isn’t art? You decide!!!

Walking between the Town hall and the courts you come across the back of the Empire Night Club. Now I’ve walked this way a few times but today something caught my eye. A piece of art/graffiti or whatever. It certainly attracts attention. So much so that I took a few pictures. When I got home I discovered that this was not new and was not the first piece to appear in the area. A local artist by the name of Karl Striker has been doing these things. A lot like Banksy but also very good (in my opinion). He has done a lot of these things in the Middlesbrough/Teesside area. Is it art? Or is it vandalism? I am firmly on the side of art.
