The Kids Are Solid Gold Christmas Message

Like an alternative Queen’s speech here is a message from our good friends at The Kids Are Solid Gold:

Season’s greetings from The Kids Are Solid Gold.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks for supporting our shows and for playing such a key part in what’s been an exciting year of live music.

We have had some truly memorable nights and in James Bay and Rae Morris it is pleasing to see that two of the BBC Sound of 2015 nominees have already made their mark here. The rise of Catfish & the Bottlemen has been incredible and we are proud to have helped them on their way.

We were honoured to have been asked to book the main stage at this year’s Middlesbrough Live and the opportunity to curate a TKASG stage and help showcase our friends at the Camden Crawl was also a delight. Our attention is now firmly focussed on Stockton Calling which is now less than 13 weeks away. Blimey!

It goes without saying that Twisterella was the pinnacle of our year and a noteable mention and doffed Santa hat must go to our co-promoter Henry Carden of Pay For The Piano. The inaugural event was 14 months in the making and it was a real labour of love for us. We were determined to make the event the best it could be and we feel that we achieved this. Its success was down to the support of everyone involved so thank you so much for being there. We can’t wait to do it all over again and although there will be no official Twisterella announcements until early in the new year we’d suggest you keep Sat 10 Oct 2015 free…

A lot of people support our work and we’d like to publicly acknowledge this and pay tribute to them here. All have contributed in some way so a raised glass to the following for their continued support:

All of the artists who’ve played and their agents; Nathan and his team @ Nathan Stephenson Audio Production; Steve, Claire, Holly, Shiv and all at the Westgarth Social Club; Luke and the team at Teesside Uni; Ste and all at TSOne; Bernie and all at Liberty’s; All at The Keys; Brian @ Bonus Grooves Design; Chris, Ciara, Russ, Paul, Amanda, and all at Tees Music Alliance; Jimmy and Chris (again!) @ Stockton Calling; Yaffa and Sam @ Love Middlesbrough; Julian, Joel, Kev and all at the Cluny; Ross Lewis; Jo & Joseph @ Cumberland Arms; Gavin @ The Central; Joel @ Head of Steam; Peter @ The Northern Line; Jill Heslop; Wesley Stephenson; Ste Allen; Leon Pape; Karen & Joanne @ Evening Gazette; all at the Crack; Claire and all at NARC; Pete @ The Link; Bob Fischer @ BBC Tees; Rob Nicholls; Tracy Hyman; Jo Enoch.

We hope to see you again in 2015. Our confirmed listings are below if you fancy taking an early peek at what’s coming up. There are some great shows already in the diary.
