Following the success of their first performance evening, Elementary Writers are returning to the Avalon Hotel in Whitley Bay on Thursday 7th November for a night of thrills and chills.

Elementary Writers are a group of writers who meet every Thursday (4:30-6:30pm) at Di Meo’s Delaval Ices in Whitley Bay under the watchful eye of local writer Victoria Watson. Elementary Writers consist of poets, prose writers, non-fiction writers and script writers.

The performance evening is an opportunity for the group to showcase the pieces they’ve been working on. The evening also features an open mic section so if you fancying bringing a spooky story or poem to read, please do so! There will also be a guest reading from author Zoë Sharp (author of the Charlie Fox series).

There is a bar so bring your mates and enjoy a spine-tinglingly good evening. £3 entry fee payable on the door.

And if you are interested in joining a writing group – everyone is welcome at the Di Meo’s sessions as well as Victoria’s other sessions. Victoria also runs groups at Whitley Bay Library, every Saturday 3-5pm and Quilliam Brothers Tea Emporium (in Newcastle) every Monday evening 7-9pm.
