SPLIT FESTIVAL: SUNDERLAND CITY CENTRE 23rd to 26th September 2010

Remember we told you about this a month or so ago? Well we are updating you a week or so before the big day. The tickets are now all full price. You’ve lost your chance of cheap tickets. (You had to get them before the end of August) Also day tickets for the Saturday are now sold out. So you can get a day ticket for the Sunday or better still (and better value) get a week-end ticket. But beware these will all be gone soon. Here at The Northern Line we are looking forward to a great week-end. Here is our original article to remind you of whats happening………….

SPLIT FESTIVAL????? Never heard of it, have you? Well that’s because its brand new. It’s taking place in Sunderland over the week-end 23rd to 26th of September. The main festival is on the Saturday and Sunday but there will be some pre-festival events on the Thursday and Friday. These are still to be announced. Loads of great bands are booked for your pleasure. Some we have already featured here on the Northern Line; Futureheads, Frankie & The Heartstrings and Dutch Uncles. Others we love and plan to feature soon; Maximo Park, (Paul Smith has a solo album out soon that we plan to review) Lucas Renney (ex Golden Virgins) and Detroit Social Club. Plus loads of others we have yet to feature or hear of. Obviously Split will change all of that and we are looking forward to discovering a host of new bands. Here is the line-up, so far. We will keep you updated as we get info;
