The Georgian Theatre in Stockton starts November with a thunderous line up featuring three of Teesside’s most up and coming bands on Friday 6 November.

The Georgian is renowned for the array of top acts that have flowed through its doors over the years, from The Maccabees to Arctic Monkeys, but it’s the local acts that make the venue what it is today.

Headlining the evening is Pete Doherty’s support act for his last tour, Recusant. Labelled as, “Thunderous Teesside Revolutionaries” by local BBC Radio Tees presenter Bob Fischer, the band supported Doherty on his solo tour, just before he reunited with The Libertines.

As well as being on the bill at Middlesbrough Music Live 2010, the band have also bagged a number of respectable radio plays, which has seen their following of fans boom as word spreads about their killer live shows.

Dark edged rockers, The Purnells and post punk Middlesbrough lads Eeves complete the line up on what promises to be an eventful night.

November presents a goody bag of local acts, which also sees Dirty Weekend and The Chapman Family return to the Georgian stage, with a record label launch and a new single launch, respectively.
