THE KIDS ARE SOLID GOLD have a great line-up for you in the coming months. They begin tonight (Saturday 2nd of October 2010) with the Miserable Rich and Cattle & Cane (see full preview below) They then have a host of great shows including The Vaccines, Woodenbox with a Fistful of fivers, Lau and a host of others. They have even started lining up stuff for 2011. Roddy Woomble being booked and ready to deliver in April. These boys are fast becoming the best promoters in the North. I will pass straight over to them;

Next up for us is Brighton’s finest, The Miserable Rich. Containing members of The Leisure Society, Sons of Noel and Adrian, and ex-Hope of the States, this talented bunch wowed us when the supported Woodpigeon a couple of years or so ago. Well now they’re here headlining in their own right in support of their new album and we’re really thrilled to be bringing them back to town. As for The Miserable Rich, here’s what the the guys have to say about their return visit to Teesside: “Back to the Westgarth – we played here with Woodpigeon on our first album tour and have been looking forward to seeing the warm and enthusiastic crown again. Good to be back in Reeves and Mortimer territory and all.”

Joining them on the bill will be Cattle & Cane who’ll be making their last appearance for TKASG until their brace of dates supporting Woodenbox in December. We’re also delighted to feature a full band show from The Broken Broadcast who will be performing songs from their debut album.

We are proud to announce that Roddy Woomble will be performing a super-intimate show for us at the Cluny 2, Newcastle Upon Tyne on Sat 2nd April 2011.
