THE WHITE NEGROES are urging fans not to miss the bus when they play live at a retro club night this weekend.

Tickets are selling fast for The White Negroes’ return coach travel to vintage indie club night Revival at Medicine Bar (formerly Purple Onion), in Middlesbrough, this Friday, November 5.

The Revival club recreates local promoters Ten Feet Tall’s legendary Cactus Club nights.

The White Negroes were virtually the club’s house band in the mid 90s period, making many memorable live appearances.

Now the Hartlepool band are hoping to see a lot of old friends from those halcyon days – but are urging fans to get their tickets before they sell out.

Band spokesman Dick Funk said: “The tickets are being snapped up so we are urging fans to get theirs quick to avoid disappointment.

“The band used to put on buses to the club back in the day and those trips were often just as eventful as the actual nights themselves!

“They are inviting fans to get on the bus for the Revival night and look forward to seeing some old faces. It will be a Negroes reunited night.”

Return coach tickets including entry to Revival cost £7 and are available from the Park Inn, Park Road, in Hartlepool. The coach leaves from the Park at 9.45pm.
