Middlesbrough’s monthly entertainment extravaganza returns……

This month see’s the appearance of troubadour scallywags Rikki & The Porters. With dancing grooves swashbuckling through Blues, Soul, Calypso and Folk. The performance includes collaborations with local talents Blunt & Big Rob, blues sensation T. Relph and Rick Betamax himself.

Katie Coleman graces the Bandstand stage this month. 18 year old soul queen who’s vocal talents are breathtakingly brilliant. Rooted in Soul music Katie is a uplifting presence every time she performs. Expect a mix of original compositions and Soul classics.

Psycho Julie (Elizabeth Hotton) makes a swift return to Bandstand again after April’s brilliant performance, and to keep Mr Betamax in check. Hilarious comedian resembling a Yorkshire Catherine Tait.

Superstar robot HD-1 has arrived in Middlesbrough. Think a comical iron man with smooth robotic moves.

Salt Lake City’s Mind Noiz completes the bill for this month’s show. As part of their European tour this male/female duo tell story’s of love and hurt in a joyful style. Showing American grunge influences but intertwining rap and folk with ease, combined with the power of dual vocals.

As well as the usual in-between shenanigans DJ Emmo will be as always providing uplifting music throughout the night.
